Hey folks, I have a little JD 750 (21hp compact) that I bought mainly to bushog and till up small patches for food plots at my hunt club. I have a 4 foot disc harrow to till with, and a 4 foot bushog to mow with. I have tried the harrow a little bit, but it seems as if it needs some weight added to make it till down a couple of inches. Right now, it just seems to only scratch the top surface. Would I be better off getting something such a shank plow (is that the same as a scarifier?) or should I experiment with adding weights to the harrow? If a shank plow would work better, then how big? How many teeth?? Please email responses, I can't spend a whole lot of time reading here. Thanks!
