I have an Anthony Flare side wagon that I would like to restore; and I need to know paint and decals. The plate on the frame says "Anthony Hydraulics" "Motor Truck Bodies and Hydraulic Hoist". S/N# 9846; Model# RC-2. The Anthony Co. was based in Streator, IL. and built mostly truck bodies and all metal wagon bodies but this is all the information that I can find about the company. My father remembers the company and said he thought the paint was red but was not sure. The paint that is still on some of the metal has an orange look to it. It also has some remnants of a decal above the end gate. If anyone can help I would like to hear from you.

My Dad & Uncle had a total of 3 Anthony flare boxes when I was a kid. One was on an Anthony gear, (the best one of the bunch) but the other two were not. The Anthony stuff was all red, the same color as my Uncle's '46 Farmall H, which faded to an off-color orange. I don't remember the Anthony paint fading, it just flaked off over time & the boxes turned to rust red. The decals were yellow with black script lettering "ANTHONY" in an oblonged oval, as I remember it. Dad was still using his when he sold out in '86. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
