I have a Cub disk plow, 24" diameter. I have no idea how to mount this thing to the tractor. I can get it under the tractor, but the exact mounting setup is too difficult for my small mind. Does someone have photos or anything that would help me?

check with ur IH dealer--manuals are still available and will help. also talk to older farmers in the area--they are a wealth of info and generally will enjoy helping a green horn--or atleast my neighbors did. and were very supportive and informative about the history of the farm that i bought.

Buddy; I have a belly-mounted disk plow for my cub. I had a lot of problems while assembyling the parts. After getting the plow put together, I didn't have problems hooking it to the cub. Is your plow dis-assembled or is it assembled and ready to hook up. If it is complete and ready to hook up I can probably help you. On mine, the main beam which extends from the disk to the final drives has a drawbar beam attached. Does your plow contain this drawbar? Also, a lift chain, attached near the disk, connects the plow to the front rockshaft. Let me know if your plow contains these elements. If so, I will try to help you mount it. Dan

Chuck and Dan,

Thanks for the help. I was contacted by a very helpful poster on this site who had photos of his disk plow mounted to the Cub and I have been able to get mine mounted. I broke some ground yesterday with it and plan to do more over the next few weeks, assuming my wife doesn't assign anything else to me. Dan, my disk plow was assembled and complete except for the grease fittings which I have since replaced. I do need to break it all down to make sure that all is well inside but it works great so far. Buddy
