I had the same problem with my NH 488. So I tried cutting out all the bad sections with a utility knife and I used Windshield (rubber) sealant (that they use to replace car and truck windsheilds with) and a plastic spreader to spread it out. You can buy the sealant in caulk size tubes for about $7.00 at you auto parts stores. Use latex gloves because it doesn't come off the skin very well. I tried it on my top roll and it lasted 3 years before I had one large piece loosen up.I used about 4 tubes on the top roll. It's worth a try.

If I knew what these where I could let you know if they are "recoverable" or not. We recover rollers of all types with a wide variety of rubber. We also make new rollers. If you had a print or other information on these I could have them quoted for you. Ph. 262-857-2361
