I recently acquired a bunch of NOS plow points. I have some for Case, John Deere, Ford, IHC, and Ferguson plows, plus a few I can't identify. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they might be worth? I have a few neighbors who are interested in some, but I am not sure what to charge. After the neighbors get done picking them over, I plan to post the rest on the YT classifieds. Thanks for any help!

Pardon the ignorance, but whats the diff between points and reguar shares. I know that in the 50s/60s Ih had segmented shares that had seperate points on the front. is that what your talking about?

What I have been calling points are what others call shares. Seems like everyone around here calls them points. At any rate mine are forged shares.

If any of those points have 1442,1441,1450,or 1451 stamped in them and have the eyebolt hook on them they may well be a fit for syracuse plow bottoms. I have seen aftermarket steel points that are replacements for the origonal cast iron shares.

These are mostly Crescent brand points. I have found none that say syracuse on them. I do have a crescent sheet to cross reference, though.

I'm looking for points (3) for an International Harvester model#209 plow. (16") If you happen to have them, and want to sell, let me know. I,ve got a plow that is at least 40 years old, and has never been in the ground. I will use it on about 120 acres next spring. (Maybe some this fall) I would like to find a set or two,of spare points, while they are still around.

I've got about 200 plow points, that I bought off of a dealer going out of business. Most are Massey-Ferguson, and a lot of them are 12" and 14". I have been able to identify several, and put up the ones that fit my plows. I have sold some for $5 to $10 a piece. They might be worth more, but there isn't much of a demand for them anymore. If you have a place to keep them, and run an add every now and then, you might sell a few. I have been trying to match them up with plows belonging to friends. The more you identify, the easier it gets. Don't throw them away. As plows fall out of popularity, parts get harder and harder to find. The area where I live, used to be over-run with good used 2x12" plows. Now the're getting to be worth more than gold.

In that pile would you have a fitted share point that says syracuse x1450F 16in? I am looking for one to replace on a trailer plow that I have restored.
