Sickle bushing

Need to replace bushing on NH 450 sickle knife ..
What is best procedure to remove old and install..
Punch out old - press fit new ? .. press out old .. slight heat required ?

Chuck,
First off make sure you have the correct bushing as there are two different size's for the 450 mowers. I always drive the old one out with a big drift. I apply a thin coat of never seize and chill the new bushing in the freezer. A bit of heat on the knife head, doesn't take much, and the new bushing should drive in pretty easy. Good luck. Roy
