Does any know of a plan to construct a weed wiper that will work effectively for pasture weed control and what materials are needed?

You might check around to see if you can buy one cheaper than making it yourself. Depends on how big you want it also. The sponge type sometimes seemed to work better than the rope wick, but both are effective. There should be lots of used ones around, were many in our area before RR beans came out.

John: I have one I bought new already assembled. I wouldn't want to have built it for the money I paid for it, suposing someone gave me the materials. In fact I believe the manufacturer is not far from me, if you want to send an e mail I think I can dig up the address, or as someone else said go to Google. I suspect there are dozens of manufacturers.

Check with your local fertilizer/chemical dealer. They should have plans on how to build one.

So far I have a 55 gal. plastic drum mounted on a home build 3 point frame but I don't know what a weed wiper is so could you expose my ignorance and describe one.

Google it - 'weed wiper' or 'weed wiper plans'

I'm in to big of a hurry today to find a pic, but here is a web site decribing it.

Link

Long plastic tube with braided poly 'wick' rope, fill with Roundup, and drive through your fields. Any tall weeds the wicks touch, die. Very little chemical uage, as no spraying. The Roundup company used to give them away to get people to use the (at that time) very spendy Roundup.
