Anybody use the TSC carryall? It sells for $75 new which also seems to be the going price for used other-brand carryalls (here anyway). I've heard of problems with TSC blades (roots bend 'em easily) so I was wondering if the TSC carryall is a lightweight. I would use the carryall for weekend projects w/ fieldstone, firewood, tools & stuff - no highway construction or quarry excavation.

Mine is called a "worksaver" and that's a pretty good description. Have loaded it so heavily with green cedar fence posts that the tractor couldn't lift 'em. No problems with the worksaver, except the tabs where the 3pt hitch attaches - bent them somewhat using the worksaver to push stumps into a hedge row. Mine fits a pallet, and often use it in conjunction with them.

Jim, I bought one of them a couple of years ago and wish I hadn't. I believe it way too light for my use. Have had it flex to the point I thought it would fail with not very much weight (about 400 lbs) on it. I agree with HoneyRancher. Spend a little more and get a much heavier unit. Glenn

A few weeks ago I bought a 'bale platform' at TSC. It is a big bale carrier but has 2 long forks at the bottom and a short spear at the middle of the bale. I looked at the 'carriers' and didn't think they were strong enough plus the forks were angle iron and might or might not slide into a pallet.

The 'bale platform' has flat forks that easily slide into a pallet. However, the forks are spaced a little wide to fit every pallet so I have saved out the ones I found wide enough to work.

The good news is that this 'bale platform' was only $105.00, a lot better value than the 'carrier' for $75.00.

I use it with or without a pallet, depending on what I am doing. It is really slick to slide those forks under a brush pile, pick up to whole thing and go. I have a hydraulic center link so I can also tilt it some.

I think it was one of my better buys.

I bought one, and like it. It is NOT a pallet fork. It is light wieght. I built a wood box, made out of 2X10's. The biggest load I've had in it was 4 100lb tractor wieghts. It is great for moving firewood, the handiest thing I own for fence building, and we use it quite a bit around the garden. Look at it closely. Use common sense about loading it, and you'll get your money's worth.
