Just purchased a Farmall cub with a mott hammer knife mower. Is this company still in business? Anyone know who carries parts?

thanks

Mott is no longer in business, the company was bought by Alamo (see link below). You will need to work thru a local dealer to order parts, as Alamo does not work direct with customers.

Many of the common bearings, etc., can be crossed by working with local NAPA or auto parts supplier. Takes time, but got most of my needs met there.

I've found several sources of aftermarket parts which work fine for my Mott mower - Montage Enterprises (http://www.montageent.com) and Flail-Master (http://www.flailmaster.com) - blades, belts and similar wear items.

Had most of my OEM parts obtainable from Alamo - but getting somewhat pricey. Good mower, very pleased with operation on my Cub.

Hope this helps!

Do a search of this forum using "MOTT". 2nd page line 21 or 22 I think should have info to help. Check some other lines also. TSC does carrie blades in our area. Napa is a good source for bearings or any other good parts store. I used a three-point 6ft. Mott Mower with finish blades for 4 years and only had to replace an oil seal. Heavy built mower.
