I called NH and they said all they had was the operators manual for this baler, no service manual. Does the operators manual show chain and knotter adjustment, timing, etc.? Or is it just a basic operating guide with no adjustment procedures?

The operator's manual actually does have help on how to operate & adjust the baler - a strange thing these days. :)

They should have a parts manual (used to anyhow) altho that doesn't help with adjusting the thing....

I just bought 270 hay bailer, I can not say much about it yet.I have not put it to a test but I do plan to try it out within the next two week or so.I have got some pea vines/grass stacked the old fashion way I plan to test it on,at that time I will learn more about this equipment.I was told every thing was working. It could use some paint on the sheet metal. mechanical it seem to be in good cndition. Maybe I will know more about the nh 270 bailer in two weeks. learning the 270
