got your email not sure if reply worked ebay manuals are about 10 bucks say maybe 8 and shipping? or would trade for new holland manual the 38 we had was a nice mower but the trailer type might be fun if you operate close to fences the seem to have a mind of there own when backing up the light weight has probely something to do with it we have a trailer bush hog it has a few advantages but trying to backup and mow can be a challange at times

I have a JD #37 and so does my neighbor. We both have 9 foot bars on ours (most had 7 foot I think). The local JD dealer carries all the parts for it still, and the farm store has pitman arms (have only broken one in many years). Works real well. I think I paid $400 about 6 years ago.

I just refurbished a #37 sickle mower with a 9 ft
bar as an FFA project that I'm ging to take to the Missouri State Fair. Does anyone have any information about production dates or anything else they can share with me as far as the history of the mower?

Jerry,
The JD 37 was a very good mower . They bring anywhere from $150 to $450 in central Ohio. This is the season for hay so be prepared to pay for a nice one.
