Has anyone tried running a newer JD utility tractor with 24t baler?

I know a guy that runs an old case pto baler and a 9'haybine with a 32 hp new holland compact. I don't know how long the tractor will last, but he can pull it. It's a heck of a thing to see that little tractor in front of that haybine!!

I know a guy that was small square baleing with a 35hp Kubota. He blew the pto drive line out of it, and even though it was in warr. Kubota wouldn't pay for the fix! They told him he should have been useing one of their utility tractors. Only cost him just shy of 2 thousand! DLM

What brand of sea-sickness pills can you buy in America?

Running it is one thing, lasting very long doing so is another!!! Balers should be run with a "real" utility tractor, not a compact utility tractor. Robert

You barely have enough horsepower, and I don't think the tractor weighs enough. It'd get jerked around quite a bit by the baler. And I wouldn't feel real comfortable pulling a loaded wagon if there are any hills. Big, heavy old farm tractors in the 35-50 hp range don't cost that much.
