I have 2 new holland 69 balers the first one got last summer worked great for 1000 bales. Then started missing on the left side twine. I tried to figure it out no luck. Got another one at an equipment auction in the fall and this one does the same thing. Any advise would be great

There are about ten different reasons for any baler to miss. The best thing to do is to get a good baler book. The knotter section will have pictures of failed knots and what to do in each case. It could be twine disc tension, twine disc timing, bill hook tension, dull twine knife, bent stripper arm, bill hook timing, needle timing, travel, position. Twine tension. Rough edges on any parts. Twine finger position and timing. Remember that plastic twine may require different adjustments than natural fiber twine. I wouldn't even speculate on your problem without a lot more information. What do the knots look like?
Is there a loop in one end of the twine. Is there a complete knot with the twine cut about a inch from the knot? No knot at all? Is the knot completely formed but loose and pulls apart when the bale tension hits it? Is there wear in the bill hook roller or the spring loaded tensioner it rolls on? Does the stripper arm lightly rub the back of the bill hook? I'd be glad to help if I could but I'd like to be along side to see the action first hand. Ed

Exactly right- get the manual, look at the pictures, fix the baler!
