I have misplaced the manual for my KingKutter 6' Brush Hog and I need to know if it will operate safely with 1,000 RPM's.

Thanks, Anthony

I bet a 1000 RPM is the ONLY thing that will make that King Kutter do a decent job, however, as tempting as it may be, I don't think it would last very long. I think KK has their blade tip speed way too low to do a great job.

No, and I also don't think the splines are the same on the tractor pto shaft.

A lot of tractors have 1000 speed option WITHOUT changeing the pto shaft. Some have 3 speeds, 540, 750, and 1000. You just select the pto speed you want when you shift the pto into gear. Robert

Nope, too fast, needs to be 540rpm, or low, (first), pto speed.
