I just got a manual from my New Holland dealer for a super 67 baler but I have a 67 is the manual the same? I'm going to try and get the timing set for the baler. I have tryed to turn it over by hand but it stops when the plunger is going in. Any ideas would help? I bought it at an auction and they said that it worked a few years ago. I have 15 acres to put up and could not get anyone to do it so I went and got some machinery and will try to do it myself. Thanks for the help and a great site. Jeff

I have a Hayliner 67 and it sounds like the problem you are having is the arm that swings the needles up has a catch when they go back down. Standing behind the baler, look at the left side, there should be a arm about 8" long with a spring on it, pull it out and move the arm that holds the needles all the way back and when the needles are all the way back it should hold that arm out and let the plunger go forward. I have seen this before and most of the time it is not a timing problem, it probobly just sheared a pin. Good Luck

The dealer is Timmer Implement PO box 28 Pease, MN 56363 it took a week to get it and it cost $13.00 give them a try. I have not taken the cutter knives out yet so I can not tell if the shims are there. If I can help or just to learn together let me know Jeff
