Well, we were getting things ready for haying and were shapening the knives when we noticed the main bearing on the plunger was toast..how do you get them out?? There is a short shaft with the bearing mounted on it, a pin through the shaft seemingly holding it in place. It looks to me like you should remove the pin and the shaft should slide out, replace the bearing, slide it back on and repin it..well we got the pin out but that shaft won't budge either way...do we need to heat this up to get it out or are we approaching this the wrong way? Someone told my son in law it was a piece of cake..we're not finding it that way. Any wisdom you can bestow upon us would be appreciated Mike in Exeter Ontario

Mike: Now I know why it got so dark and severe thunder here this pm. Caused by the language in Exeter or over on Huron Rd 21. Which end of the plunger rod is this pin and bearing. Inside the plunger right? Doesn't sound like crank end.
