New Idea #290 mower conditioner?

I just bought a #290 at a local auction and was wondering if anyone could give me some input on it? It's in good condition, but needs new knives. Is the cutter bar easily removed? Can I still get parts? Thankyou for any input! Mark R.

Here all these years later, I still cannot find parts or a dealer who can "find" the 290 in a "book".

Anyone know of a dealer who has a clue?

PS: Napa did match the belts once I got them off.

I'm having trouble replacing the two belts. When I call the dealer with my model number, they tell me that "there's no 290 in the book".

Anyone have the part numbers for the belts or the sizes (maybe NAPA can get them for me)?

While I've got it torn down, I'd like to replace both sets....
