I am going to try pulling a 24 foot cotton wagon behind my NH275 square baler to bale wheat straw. I have added an attachment to slide the hay up onto the trailer. I am doing this with MF135 tractor rated at 38 hp. This is flat ground any ideas on how it will work.

I pull a NH 270 baler & a regular hayrack (um, almost 8' wide, 9 rows of bales long) with an IHC 300 row crop tractor - about the same hp as yours. I can put 140 or so bales of straw on it, 120 or so of hay. Works fine.

Living in MN I don't know what a cotton wagon is, sounds a lot bigger & heavier? Should work for up to 150 bales, after that you're getting a lot of weight back there...
