Wondering about setting up a 40 loader that fits a John Deere MT. Have a chance to buy one, but not sure if all parts are there. So far I have not been able to locate a picture or manual. Any help would be appreciated! as I believe these are hard to find? Thanks, Jim R.

In 1956 my father bought a JD420W with a 40 loader, replacing a Super C. As I remember the loader was half a step above an 8 prong fork. The C had a Henderson loader and would out lift the JD. The 40 loader lifts by retracting the cylinders. The valve is operated with your left hand. You had to remove the left headlight to clear loader. Glorified piece of heavy awkward piece of sh... The 420 was bought for live PTO. My Dad thought that a 300 was too much power for a small tractor.
