Hey all, just thought I would throw this out and maybe someone else will know before I am able to figure it out and save some time. I bought a "fencerow" 605C last fall to fix up and use this summer. Well, have gotten behind and just now am able to work on it. Okay, everything works, and I know it will bale, but I need to figure out why the belts will not run straight, I put some missing bolts into the belts guides, and that helped to straighten things out a bit, but I still have one or two belts that want to ride off on the side, any ideas?? Thanks

If the baler is empty this is not a problem. If there is a level bale in the baler then ther is a problem. Email me I can probably help. I'm a dealer.

Travis; is this while you're baling that the belts won't run straight?; if it is, it's probably because you haven't 'mastered' the windrow weave; i.e. keeping the same amount of hay all across the bale; can be big problem with small windrows; large windrows better; double windrows best..... ..

In addition to the belt length, is everything true & straight for the rollers? If something of the frame or door got twisted, the belts will want to run off to the side.

I'm thinking the C model is the last of the closed throat design - they are kinda fussy about having dry hay & getting the bale started.

Just a thought but are they all the same length. I've never had a problem with it but have heard if a belt is longer than the others it will "wander" around. I've got an older John Deere and the manual says they have to be within two inches of each other.
Good luck.
