Just found a 824 2RN corn head for sale. The ad says it fits the 892, 890, and 900 choppers, and will fit the 782 and 790 choppers if a different adapter is used. What does this adapter consist of, and how much do they cost? Where can they be found? Can parts from our old 722 one-row head be used to make the 824 fit the 790?

Thanks!

You can buy the adapter pieces out of parts, or get hooked up with a sales guy and get the wholegoods kit. That should ensure you get all the stuff, plus an instruction sheet.

we put an 824 head on our 718. Bought the bracket from new holland. if i can remeber will look up the part number tomorrow. Bracket cost almost as much as the header did, but then we only paid $100 for the header at a consignment sale.

Part number for the left side bracket is 645962. Price on 9/18/02 was $82.48 Definitly worth it considering how much trouble it would be to make one and how much better the header is than the old one. That was the only part we had to buy. Probably depends what cutter the header was used on before.
