Hi Folks, I'm looking for a rotary mower for my Jubilee, but don't like the prices. I'm wondering if there is a way to buy factory-direct or from a larger dealer. Prices around here (northern Vermont) are in the $750 range and I think that a good deal of that cost is in transportation. But could I buy it closer to the source, and get a better deal ... I'd trailer it a few hundred miles if it would save me a couple of hundred bucks. Or perhaps there is a big catologe outfit that has a high volume and can give the end user a better deal? Ideas?

If there is a Tractor Supply Company store near you, you can get a King Kutter 5 foot brush hog for $595. I've got one that I use with my Ferguson TO-20, and it's an excellent, sturdy unit, well worth the money.

you and me both would like to buy "factory direct" but i doubt it will happen. seriously, i don't know of any factory outlets or factory dealers. i guess we all gotta pay them high prices unless you want to go to an auction and take your chanches there. i think $750 for a dealer is not too bad. the cheapest 5 ft. "bush hog type cutter" i found here is $850 going up to over $925. lots of luck.
