I have a NH 847 which the tail gate appears to be cumming down off center so it hangs up on the left side, enough that it won't latch. There appears to be a lot of play on the piviot pen on the left side, but the parts cat. shows no bushings. I have the service manual but I see nothing about the tail gate. Bill

Also, a lot of times people will only lock one safety latch when working under the tailgate. They forget to release it and it twists the tail gate. I have fixed them before by locking the latch on the other side and twisting it back.

Hi, I'm guilty of only placing one lock down and forgetting about it. I fixed it by doing what you said. Lines up perfect now. Thanks for your help. Bill

make sure the hinge is not breaking loose. I have seen a lot of them rewelded.
