Hi Folks,
I've come to learn that there is going to be a new Tractor Supply opening in McKinney, Texas sometime this summer. Has anyone ever been to a TSC grand opening? Are there lots of deals, especially on implements? I'll be needing a new rotary cutter soon, and was thinking I might wait and pick one up there at a bargain price.
thanks,
stephen

I have never been to a grand opening of a TSC store but when I was in Killeen, Texas last November I stopped by the one there. Granted, they do carry some things that other farm and barn stores don't carry but I wasn't impressed by it. I'll stick to my local "Fleet-Farm" here in Wisconsin.

I don't know about the TSC store in McKinney but I do have a bumper sticker on the back of my pick-up. It goes like this, "I live with Fear and Danger every day but sometimes I take her to Bill Smith's Cafe, McKinney, Texas." I have a buddy who lives in that north Dallas suburb.

They just opened a new store in Big Rapids, Michigan. Their sales flyer was exactly the same as the others from other neighboring stores, except the cover - advertising the GRAND OPENING. Prices exactly the same! I needed an rather expensive item, called several stores, before finding it. New store didn't have either!

i bought a 3pt boom pole. i spent more on having it rewelded than it cost me! the last pair of overhalls were made in mexico and the one pocket i could hardley get my hand in them. tsc is close and handy and everyone else has closed, cts and big blue, but nothing of any quality.really love how they constantly move the stuff around so you have to go past everything to find what you are looking for. i usually give up and walk out without buying what i came for.

They are building a new & closing the old one 30 miles from me this summer. I think they might have the equivelant of a spring or fall sale, but nothing spectactular for a grand opening.

Best deals was when the local Quality store sold out - got 3-point lifts for $35, up to 70% off the ending stocks. Still have some inventory on my shelves from that 3 years ago - and stuff I really will use! :)

I'm disapointed in TSC. The Farm & Fleet they bought out and replaced was a much better store!! And, NO there grand opening wasn't much. Now, maybe there rotary cutter will be on sale, but i prefer a different brand for those too.

I'm NOT anti TSC, i'm just disapointed in them! Robert

I really miss our old Central Tractor. Stock at TSC just isn't near as good, but it is the only place within hours so I have to support them.

And in my opinion, I wouldn't ever wait on buying something I needed just to catch a possible sale at TSC. I've found buying used older stuff gets me better equipment at the same price...most newer stuff tends to be lighter and not put together as well as the older.
