Thanks for the help guys. I ordered a new 4x9 tire and a tube. I went down to South St. Paul to the TSC store and purchased a whole new knife bar.
Crap cant go wrong for $45. I also got some rivets so I will replace the sections on the old bar for a spare. I also got a set of John Deere decales for when I paint it :-)
I was out there dinkin around with the mower when I got home. I think this is going to be one fine mower. Might be the best $25 auction find yet.

For $25 you can put some money in it and still come out. New sickle will help considerably to cut right. If you have a book be sure to set lead, register and lift weight also. The number 5 is a good mower. I have run mine on an old unstyled G and an MT. I now have a number 8W that I use. I'm not sure it works any better just a little newer. Several years ago I inherited a Ford mower, 3 point type. I traded it to a neighbor for a number 8W and a cobbled up number 5. I later sold the #5 for $200 and still have the 8. Wouldn't have given $200 for the old ford mower but it worked better for my neighbor.
What tractor are you using the #5 on?

Using it on my Farmall H this year. Next year I should have my Farmall 300 done, so may try on that one too.
Here is a photo of it when I brought it home from the auction. Going to look nice with new paint and decales on it.
Oh I do have a manual for it.
