What would an excellent running V4 Wisconson engine Mod.# VH4D 26.5 horsepower, electric start, with gas tank, off a John Deere bailer be worth? I am contimplating switching my 224 from engine drive to PTO and would like to have some idea as to what I could expect to get out of the engine. Engine runs and starts exceptionally well. Thanks Steve

Steve,

Out here on the West Coast, I have seen these engine set-ups bring up to $300. Most people don't want an engine drive baler. Several people I know have converted 14T and 24T balers to PTO. I run a 214T with engine drive. The 214 series baler PTO parts will interchange onto the 224. I'm not sure of any other balers that have PTO parts that will fit your 224. Where are you located, I would be interested in the engine if you are out West.

Thanks - MG

I see people _asking_ $400-500 for a good working engine.

I see a running, average out of the shed nothing special Wisconsin engine _sell_ for about $100 at auction sales.

In southern MN.
