Make a second cut within a half inch of another cut and you should be able to peel out that strip with a sharp chisel, then fold in the remainder of the bushing with the chisel. If your cuts are completely through the bushing, it should come out- otherwise, how about heating with the oxy-acet torch?

I hate bushings!!! I dont have a oxy torch but I do have a little propain torch. Would that get it hot enough?
Should I heat the bushing or the steel?

No- don't waste the propane! Back to the chisel, huh? Other option with a complete, unsawed bushing would be a shop press, using a proper sized shaft to push out the bushing, or like most of us use- the right size socket. Anything that fits. Propane torches are for soldering, for the heavy stuff like this, you need a torch.

Just noticed your second question- heat the steel- y ou want to expand that (with heat), and the bushing will remain relatively smaller. Then use a punch or drift pin against it with a BFH!
