I have to dismount the rear tires on my JD AR. These tires are loaded now and the question is,
I plan to use this tractor for plow days this spring and pull a #44H two 14" plows. I have wheel weight. Can I get away with not loading the tires and still get good plow traction.

An AR will not use a mounted plow, with 2-14" on average stalk ground should pull unloaded but not on sod, had AR with 3-12" massey plows tires loaded with set of Deere factory weights needed all on sod plowing about 7" deep, with your 2-14" I would guess you will plow 7" to 8" deep, load will be about the same, rule of thumb, depth dezinged for, depth 1/2 of width or 12"-6"; 14"-7"; 16"-8"; If you take care of your tires there is no problem with calcium cloried in your tires, If you are going to be useing it for other than play then load the tires as you will also need that weight for traction on a disc harrow, 9' size good for that tractor

I pulled a Massey Harris 3-14 with my JD A last year with unloaded tires. You should have no problem.

Loading tires? I only keep my tires loaded on my biggest tractor, which I use for plowing. Ford 5000. I use 2-14's on a 3 point, because it is really hard ground. I had to put 5 70 lb. weights on the front even, because it tends to ride light up there. Not a problem though, I sometimes have to steer with the brakes a little bit.

DUMP THAT CRAP & SAVE YOUR RIMS! Be sure to wash them really well & get rid of ALL RUST & repaint before mounting tires. If you need more weight (which you shouldn't, w/only 2-14's) add more cast iron or concrete. (Thats what they make wheel weights for.) I hope the guy that thought of putting calcium chloride in tires is roasting somewhere. IMHO, it's the biggest headache there is for those of us who wish to preserve old tiron. An AR with 2-14 behind it? Better tell the others to move over, or at least get out of the way!

If it's mounted you could get by without.

I'll assume it's a pull-type, then I'd prefer keeping the weight.....
