NH 275 ties perfect knots, tight bales, never misses, but next to each knot (both sides), and on every bale is a little 1 inch long piece of cut-off twine. It did this for every one of the 1200 bales I baled last year. Is this normal? This is my first twine baler. When I got it, it had sisal in the box, which I replaced with synthetic twine.

New Holland balers have been doing this for 50 years. As Jerry said it is a good sign. If it stops that you have something out of wack and trouble will appear, usually an open bale of hay. Don't worry about it NH most troublr free baler in world.

You Lucky Rascal.

Those are the indicators of a perfectly adjusted set of knotters. Now for the bad news, they are a problem with horses. Sisal ones don't cause a problem but the poly is easily ingested. Other than that they are a good thing....

Thanks! I'm not used to getting good news... I'm kinda at a loss for what to do now. I guess I'll go have a cup of coffee. (Ha Ha) -DB
