I found a wood brothers threshing machine. Unsure of the size. It has always been shedded and is in excellent shape. The lady who owns it told me to make her an offer, so I am wondering what a fair offer is?? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...Brandon

It is mostly made up of galvanized steal. Only some wood parts on it that i could tell. All the pulleys turn, as far as belts I don't know. There is a small one sitting on the thresher that is not in the best of shape. I'll try to get back over there tomorrow and measure the cylinder. Thanks.. Brandon

Threshers are usually measured at two points. One is the cylinder width while the other is the width of the straw-walkers, thus a machine is known as a 28 - 32 for example with 28 the cylinder width and 32 the walker width. Nothing beats the feeling of standing up beside the scales and feeling that machine working under your feet!

You need to get back in the room and tell people these things. Is it all wood, or all steel body. Does each pullywheel turn when you turn it by hand, does any belts go with it, and what shape are they in. By the way, If you cannot find belts for It, I know a place in Tulsa that makes them. I had them make me a hammermill belt 10 yrs ago and I used it again today to saw wood and start one of my tractors. I forgot how to tell the size of the thresher, but one thing is, does it hav a divider board in the center of the apron (Where you throw the bundles in, or not). Measure the wiodth of the cylendar and that will tell knowledegable people alot about what size it is, and what size tractor you will need to run it. Good luck
