What does running gear go for in your area? We bought a JD 10 ton 1075 and 12 ton 1275 for $500. We have to buy a few rims, tires, hubs, and bearings for the 1075 which means we will have paid about $1,150 for both of them together. Neighbor paid $500 for a 6 ton NH. Another neighbor paid only $100 for a 6 ton that was made in a prison. Running gear is not too common around here

Westendorf and JD gears bring a premium in central Iowa, when yo can find them. At a recent sale I watched a Westendorf 8-ton gear sell for $600 and a JD 1065 go for $550. At the same sale a fair 14' hay rack with a JD 953 gear sold for $675.

Cheap 6 ton or 'unknown' go for $50 - 150. But a good one would go $400-600 here in southern Minnesota as well.
