they were called a quack digger in the old days with a clutch lift. there is still alot around on steel and rubber wheels. newer ones are usualy refered to as a feild culivator. i got a quack digger i would just as soon get rid of replaced with a field culivator.

Chris, John Deere made a number 900 chisel plow sometimes refered to as a tool carrier, they were available with clutch lift(pull the rope), manual lever lift and equipped for hydraulic cylinder lift. I think the 2 sizes they made were 8 feet and 12 feet wide. They were available with several different style of teeth including spring teeth. I have an 8' hydraulic lift model on rubber tires. It appears they were made for a good number of years, yet I have not seen many around. Good luck in your search.
