I know this isn't an implement but I have a rototiller called a "Roto-Hoe" with a tecumseh 3.5hp engine. It seems to be very old and in good working order. Can anyone tell me how much I can get for it?

Not much, I wouldn't think. 3.5 horse Tecumseh's are a dime a dozen. If it's a front tine, it's pretty much worthless. If it's a rear-tine, and runs good, it's worth a few bucks as a working tiller.

Up until the last few years I have used a 3.5 h.p. Monkey Wards front tine tiller and have broken new ground with it many-a-time. Most people don't know how to use one and think it should do it all in one pass. Wrong! Even a tractor and a 3pt disk can't do it all in one pass. The secret is sharp tines, let the machine do the work, and use the depth bar in the back to control the cutting action- new ground minumun drag and let it walk around. It's not until you have made 2 or 3 passes that you can start lowering the drag and see some real tilling action. The grass disappears and fine tilled dirt is on the surface.
Basically they are good for the backyard gardener.

In about 2 months it MIGHT be worth $25.00 to $50.00 depending on gardening activity in your area. Small front tine tillers are only useful for light duty- cultivating, light seed bed preparation. Not very good for turning sod to garden bed. RN
