I live just south of Kansas City. Does anyone know of a source of used New Holland baler parts? I need a bale shoot to get bales onto a wagon and the wagon hitch. I could probably build the hitch if I knew how long to make it and where all it attaches. Maybe someone has a parts baler sitting around with these items on it. Any leads appreciated.

I have a 277 and faced the same problem, knew there were some of these around but couldn't find any. Finally had a neighbor that let us look at his baler and we went back home and built our own. Only takes a couple of pieces of pipe that will slide inside one another and a piece of angle iron for a brace, a few bolts and some hole drilling. The chute we made from some thin flat steel and angle iron for the edges. Good Luck. Probably wouldn't try it without looking at the set up first.

Include total information if you want any help, and that includes model number

I have a 269 with super sweep.

I would have mentioned a model number, but I figured a lot of the older balers would be nearly identical.

There were enough differences that you have to pay attention to model numbers. :)

I imagine you checked any nearby salvage yards? At farm auctins sometimes you see one sell for $25-50. The whole baler I mean, rusted to heck. But a real good parts source.

I'll bet there are a bunch in the area stored in sheds, as people put on bale throwers or such. You just need to find a way to find one.

I've got a 270, so don't know how that relates, and don't have anything for sale anyhow. :)

I guess I'm asking where are there any salvage yards? Does the average tractor/combine salvage yard have balers?
