I'm trying to add to my knowledge base. I saw a sub-soiler at (an interesting site BTW). I couldn't see the picture very clear. Can anyone tell me what they are used for?
Thanks,
Gary

Gosh Gary your still asking questions. Great to see guys interested in learning about this farm equipment. How old are you anyway? I have you peged for 32. It has been awhile since we have seen someone as curious as you here at YT. Keep up the good work.

Well I once was 32, but that was in 1985.

There are several ways to do things; one way is 'trial and error'. I've been stubborn enough to try that method before. It seems to be the hard way.

There is so much accumulated knowledge here, and I know so little about tractors and farming , that I would be foolish not to tap into it. And I'm not as big a fool as I use to be.

If I could only fnd someone locally who is into tractors and farming I'd really talk his ear off.

Gary: Well now you see how young at heart you appear. I was only off by 18 years, and your only ten years younger than I. I can also well believe you would talk the ear off some old farmer. By the way just how far away are you. I live in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada, Not often you see guys on here with such enthusiasm as you have for the complete equipment picture. Happy farming, as an old farmer we enjoy your questions. I have three little off set Farmalls and 14 implements. I always figure no point in having the tractor unless you can do something with it. These are just my toys as I no longer farm commercially.

A sub-soiler can also be used to lay electric wire, and water pipe. There are some interesting articles on this in the archives.
