I have recently come into a Model B grain drill with end wheels and single disks. it has a 4 digit serial number and is in almost perfect condition except for one disk shoe. I am looking for parts, parts manuals, and operators manuals.

seek out your local JD dealer. That's where I get parts for my FB drill (same age, difference is that FB has fertilizer box and B doesn't) You can get disks from Central Tractor and Shoup, as well as rubber tubes. Scrapers, boots and feedcups are only available from JD as far as I know.

The rubber tubes from Shoup and CT say they are only for double disk openers. I've not tried any on my FB. JD is now supply plastic in bulk for the grass seed tubes. It does work.

They work. JD sells the same sort of tube with a special clamp loop that fits over the boot and a tie-wrap that fits over the feedcup as a replacement for the steel ribbons and solid rubber tubes that were previously sold. I have all 13 openers on my FB converted to the new tubes. The Shoup tubes don't have the clamp, but I'm sure an enterprising individual could figure out a way to attach it to the boot.
