Need help to ID a JD 3 bottom plow that is 3 pt hitch. Looks like it had a coulter for each moldboard. Moldboards are either 16 or 18". It has an upright 'lever' that tilts or pivots the angle of the entire plow from the lower arms. Also noted that the boards are mounted on a "sandwiched" arm that has grease fittings as if they may pivot back or trip 'up' if something is encountered in the soil, these however, are frozen up. I am interested in the model and how to unfreeze the arm that the boards are mounted from. Also, is it advisable to disassemble the boards; there is a piece on the bottoms that appears to be attached separately, (the point?). Is there anything else that I should look for on this plow? Would also be interested in locating three coulters and arms to return to original condition. I intend to plow behing my 4020. thanks all. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. F.
