What is a worthwhile snow blower to buy? I live
in lake effect country between Buffalo and
Rochester New York. I have a Ford 860 (45 HP,
live hydraulics and PTO, but no remote hydraulics).

Used would be good, but I don't expect to find
one this late in the year.

I have a 6' back up type for my ford 4000 that I'm looking to sell. If interested, contact me at [email protected] and I'll send you a picture.

Dave: For your tractor size, maybe consider a 6 foot single auger back up type blower. You won't go motoring through 6 foot drifts is one swoop, but you won't blow the guts out of your tractor either. Don't know what your popular brands of blower are there, but we are in lake effect country here too. Art Helm at Lucknow makes a real good blower as does Barfoot Welding, George Smyth. Husky blowers are real good, but they are BIG. Pronovost from Quebec, etc. etc. There are a lot of smaller welding shops making a real good product.Tom
