Can anyone tell me about the New Holland 67 Hayliner Baler? Were they any good? Should I steer clear of them? How old are they? What would I expect to pay for one in decent shape, at an auction in the Midwest?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Manufactured 8/1/58-7/31/61. Followed the 68 which you will see discussed here often. I think both the 67 and 68 had wooden slides on the plunger instead of roller bearings. I live in NE Kansas, my neighbor has a 68 for sale for $300, I've seen a dealer list a 67 for $150. You are likely to see a nice one go for $400+ at auction. I just bought a 269 (1964-1968)with Super Sweep Pickup for $600.

Good baler. Do a search here for '67 baler' (or 68) and you will probably see what the people think who own them.

I run a custom hay business and still square bale about 15,000 bales of hay and 5000 bales of straw with mine every year. I run it on a 4020 at about 1500 rpm or less, if you keep the windows small and take your time you will be very pleased. Mine missed only 52 times out of 15,349 bales and about 1/2 of those were on changing the balls of twine. I love mine and would buy another in a heartbeat.
