Courtland, The #40 and the #40C plows (Dean, light wieght 2 bottom plow made especially for the Fordson and other small tractors) were made before John Deere supplied separate parts catalogs, and hence there are no reprints available. The dealers used a Plow Works Catalog of something more than 1000 pages which were issued about every 3 years. These are sometimes available and are valuable to have but not plentiful. Often the Owners manual contained a parts list for that plow, and I think that is the case with the #40 plow. John Deere doesn't list this manual in their reprint catalog but literature dealers sometimes have them for sale. Watch Ebay and try the classifieds, good luck.

I stand corrected. Thank You. The model 40 was made from 1918-1927 and the 40C from 1928 to 1934.

If you can get your hands on a copy of Repair Catalog "R" dated Jan 1st 1942 there is a complete parts listing in it for both plows. They came in 12" and 14" versions

I have not heard of a model 40 JD plow. Is this a model 44 Plow?
