Have Kubota L185DT tractor, early 80's model with Howard Rotovator tiller - but no PTO drive line. Local dealers can't seem to help. Drive is rectangular about 1" x 1-1/8, about 14" long. Actually, any size will do as we can cut it down.

Any ideas??

Dave

Howard is still in business making rototillers... My local MF dealer carries 'em & parts.

Email me if you want me to dig up a phone number...

TSC, CT, Gemplers and others with catalogs carry PTO shaft pieces including 1x1-1/8 tube and bar for making PTO shafts. My friendly farm equipment machine shop (Randall Machine and Welding in Randall Iowa) has that stuff too. Also heavy truck parts stores have been known to have the U-joints and rectangular tube/rod for the purpose.

Push comes to shove, you should be able to make one. My local AGCO dealer has most of the individual components on a wall display (U-joints, etc) and you can by thick wall square stock from any steel distributor.
