We I bought this small farm it came with an old Combine, A JD 25. One of the types that is pulled behind a tractor. It doesn't look like it's been used in many years. It does look complete. Would it be worth fixing up? Do they have any value when restored? Is there any way I can find out what year it was made? Can I find a manual for it?

I tend to agree with Sid. Here in Northern Indiana, the old pull type combines have no value. The only people who will take them off your hands are the scrap metal guys. Maybe 10 or 20 years from now there will be more interest in them.

Carl,I have a 25 that I have tried to give away for 2 years.I advertised on this sight and several others.I still have it.So,if you want to sell it later you can't afford to put much money in it.

Carl,
Your JD dealer can look it up for you. Just get the model and serial number and go see him. JD has manuals for almost everything. I got a new Operator Manual and a new Parts Manual for my 50 year old Model B grain drill. Let us know what you find out.
