The harder you pull,the harder it pulls-The faster it spins,the less time air has to get out if the way so it becomes harder to pull

The speed of the Baker Fan is relative to the throttle settings,it's just a big paddle wheel that pushes against the air.The "harder you pull,the harder it pulls" thing is --at 1/2 throttle only so much air can get out of the way,and at 3/4 throttle less air can get out of the way,and at full wide open throttle,the air really can't get away,so it pushes back against the fan paddles creating resistance that makes the operating engine pull harder as it's trying to spin the fan to it's max. rpm but it can't because of all the resistance.
