What's the going rate for making round bales out there? Talked to a couple of guys in my area and one of them told me he was being charged $17 for 5x5 bales. The second told me he was charged by the acre to cut and $10 a bale to bale. If I remember this right, the charge for cutting by the acre was about $8. Raking was included in these two prices somewhere. This is SouthWest of Houston. Just wanted to see what others are charging in what areas out there.

Friendly neighbors charge about $6-8 a bale to just bale them here in MN. That about covers costs I think. The folks 'in the business' might be in the $8-10 range?
