Yes, Kobe both Korean. Can use Serica but it is very high in tannins and not terribly palatable.

I usually broadcast a couple of hundred pounds on my pasture fields each year with fertilizer. Just like it in my pasture mix. Self seeds, reseeds, and cows seed it.

Really like it for hay mixed with timothy. I can cut the timothy off in the spring and the lespedeza will grow out during the summer. I usually try to cut after it is setting seed (to get the resseding). Makes fall timothy worth cutting. Nice square or round. Seed got real pricey last year.

Every so often, usually a field I graze hard and late in spring will get a good stand of volunteer and it really rolls up nice.

There are some low-tannin varities of Serica available, but if you're interested in it for hay my understanding is that the tannin level drops after it's been cut (need to check that to be sure) There's a book called Southern Forages that has a fair amount of information about lespedeza in it
