Mr. Zee, The beams you listed were used on the New Deere Gangs plow and there were 2 versions, the Foot lift(with two hand levers) and the later one with three hand levers. The foot lift plow was made from 1912 to 1926, and the later New Gangs plow was made from 1927 through 1940. Bob

Mary, Do you mean a plow beam number 210? I can't find a listing for that number, could it be 270? If you give some description of the plow or maybe some other casting numbers, if you can find any, I'll see what I can come up with. Bob

An friend of my grandfather worked on a Bonanza farm in ND. There was no large machinery in those days, just lots of horse drawn equipment, horses and hired men. On this particular farm, the men would start in the morning with a team and sulky plow and plow 5 miles south, turn around and plow 5 miles north - that took all morning. After lunch and rest break for the horses, they would make another round and have their 20 miles in for the day, which was the standard for work horses pulling a sulky plow. The two brothers that owned the farm started gambling in the grain exchange and lost it all.
