I'm looking for a replacement driveshaft for my 4ft brush hog. The coupling at the universal snapped off due to improper lubrication. This is on the gearbox side, the pto side is OK. Is there a replacement for just this one side? Is this a universal type part, or do I have to replace the entire shaft? Thanks for any input.

I've dealt with these couplings where I used too work before. Howse builds their yoke assemblys the opposite of what is standard, so if you just need a new yoke and cross kit for on your shaft you will have to get them from Howse. Where standard yokes use internal snap rings Howse yokes will use external and vise-versa. If you need more than just a yoke I would consider replacing the whole shaft now and get it to standard yokes and cross kits. It will be much easier in the long run if you need a part on a moments notice. Otherwise you may consider keeping a spare on hand. Just my thought's. Have a good one.
