grass seed box is in quarts. We ran 6 quarts per acre for timothy grass, came out to be 9 lbs./acre. Easiest way is to take a quart container and weigh your seed. Be advised that the grass box won't reliably run fluffy seed like orchard grass.
Grain box settings: 2pints=1quart 8quarts=1peck 4 pecks=1bushel.
Following gears are to be used with feedcup plates turned over so that "2" is facing up:
Oats: Gear3=69quarts, Gear4=80quarts
Wheat: Gear2=81quarts, Gear3=97quarts
Rye: Gear1=72quarts, Gear2=90quarts
Standing behind the drill, on the left under the box is a slider gear. Indicator numbers are cast into the slides to tell you which gear you are in. Always make sure the drill is in the raised position when changing gears. Send an e-mail if you run into any problems and I'll try to help. Haven't used the old Oliver drill for a while, been running a JD instead.
