Hi folks. I just thought I would share a little bit of fun I had this past weekend. Each fall my dad and I try to get a few of our tractors and plows out and turn some dirt. A neighbor of ours still does moldboard plowing and lets us plow to our hearts content. It was a bit chilly but plenty nice for playing in the dirt. The tractors we used: 44 Massey Harris gas 444 Massey Harris LP 55 Massey Harris Diesel Super M-TA Farmall M Farmall WD-6 McCormick 350 Diesel IH H Farmall The Plows: 2 -14 Oliver 2 - 16 Little Genius 3 -14 Little Genius 4 - 14 IH 3-14 JD no.55 The ground varied between heavy gummy in the valley between two ridges, to lighter dirt with some gravel on the tops of the hills. The 55 Massey and 444 Massey pulled every thing with ease. The SMTA didn't have any weights or fluid so couldn't pull the 4 bottom. Not a power problem just traction. It moved along at any speed I wanted with the other plows. The remainder of the smaller tractors took turns on the 2-16 Little Genius and the 2-14 Oliver. These two plows had a mirror finish scour to them so were the most fun to use. My dad and I spent Sat. and Sun. turning dirt and got several of our tractors exercised before the long winters rest here in Minnesota. Thanks for letting me share this with you. It sure was nice hearing the tractors bark a little bit. Even got to find and fix some fuel delivery problems we didn't know we had from just idling around at shows. Later, Both Reds! in Minnesota
