I own a Ford 785A seven foot rear blade. I need to replace the cutting edge. Do these cutting edge blades come in standard sizes that work on blades of the same width? Will a 7 foot cutting edge that fits my Ford also fit a John Deere or other brands? Is the bolt hole spacing standardized? Would Tractor Supply Co. carry the 7 foot cutting edge, or will I have to get a new one from the Ford dealer? All info will be appreciated.

i have welded on a worn down snowplow cutting edge over the original on a friends grader blade once. i also did the same thing on our ih TD9 dozer blade. if ya live in an area that snows these worn down edges are easy to come by, the local town crews throw out dozens of them each year

Can you just flip it put the top edge to the bottom or you could have it hard faced (welded) just a subjection. I would think if you wont to buy a new one you would have to go to the dealer

From the look of it you can't turn it over. It appears the bolt holes are closer to the top of the cutting edge, and thus wouldn't be in the correct place if flipped over. I'm still wondering if these cutting edges aren't available at someplace like Tractor Supply Co. cheaper than through a Ford (NH) dealer.
